Family Supports

At Cherish, we understand the unique challenges and needs of families with children who have developmental disability. We are committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to help alleviate the stress and improve the well-being of parents and caregivers. 

In addition to our programs and services for individuals with developmental disability, we offer a range of specialized assistance for families. Application Forms

We offer comprehensive assistance in completing various applications and forms, including but not limited to:

  • Assistance for Children with Severe Disability (ACSD)
  • Special Services at Home (SSAH)
  • ACCESS 2 Card
  • Autism Ontario Program (Children/Youth)
  • Passport Program (Adults)

Parent Support Groups

Join our exclusive special parent support group designed specifically for families of our trainees. This valuable space brings parents and caregivers together to listen, share their stories, and exchange experiences. It provides a safe and supportive environment to address concerns and find mutual support while navigating through any challenges you may be facing.

Family Consultations

Our organization offers personalized family consultations tailored to diverse stages of family situations related to disabilities. We provide professional guidance on family challenges, assist with government funding applications, offer advice on taxation and financial planning, support stress management, attend school and agency meetings, and advocate on behalf of families. We warmly welcome all concerned parents, and appointments can be booked by contacting our office.

Parent Training Workshops

Take part in our seasonal workshops that focus on various topics, including parenting skills, community and government resources, financial planning, at-home training skills, and housing information (group home). These informative sessions are designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in these areas, providing valuable insights and practical guidance.
